Low Fold Housing, Leeds

A Passivhaus development in Leeds City Centre  with over 300+ units of varying sizes including 4 bed town houses, offering a unique approach to city centre living.  Commission included the successful planning application for an extensive landscape scheme incorporating, riverbank naturalization, podium landscapes and private roof gardens.  The scheme promotes health and well-being with trim trails, running loops and lawn areas for residents to enjoy amongst generous swathes of wildflower planting and tree lined avenues to improve the sites bio-diversity.

Extensive consultation was carried out with the Environment Agency as the river is prone to flooding and the site was contaminated from historic industrial use.  Involvement included the production of graphic visualizations for public consultation boards.  As part of the mitigation works we have included an otter nest, bat and bird boxes as well as a native riparian planting scheme.  Remediation works are currently underway with works due to start in 2017
